Serie A Week 20: Goals of the Week
Serie A returned at the weekend after midweek Coppa Italia action and there was some compelling matches played, and goals scored. Here is our pick of the bunch.
Here are the top five goals of the week
5. Alessandro Matri Juventus – Udinese
A cracking winner by Matri as he scored his second goal of the game and the one that proved to be the winner. Arturo Vidal played a ball to Claudio Marchisio who poked the ball through to Matri who then turned his defender inside out and guided the ball home with a left-footed strike.
4. Antonio Nocerino AC Milan - Cagliari
A long ball by Philippe Mexes found Zlatan Ibrahimovic who chested the ball down to Antonio Nocerino who then hit a brilliant left-footed strike that smashed into the bottom left-hand corner of the goal.
3. Miralem Pjanic AS Roma – Bologna
This was a fantastic free-kick from the Bosnian midfielder as it curled and flew past the Bologna keeper.

2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic AC Milan – Cagliari
Like Miralem Pjanic’s goal, Zlatan’s strike was from also from a free-kick and what a brilliant one it was. A two step run-up and the ball curled past Michele Agazzi.
1 Rodrigo Palacio Genoa – Napoli
Wow! A wonderful goal by the Argentinean striker after a long ball from the back found Alberto Gilardino who headed down for his new striker partner who made no mistake with the goal of the round.
